Hey Everybody!

We are readying a brand new design and website and we'll be running beta in the coming months. We're looking for people interested in joining our community and making our site better and more relevant for people looking for the proper EarthBound/Mother experience on the web! The beta and site aren't up yet but we're already trying to rally everyone up on Facebook, Twitter, and IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

If you choose to join in on IRC you can chat with the staff and users before the site goes up and get your two cents in on how the site will evolve and grow. If you're interested in getting in the channel and you're familiar with IRC we are on Dynastynet (irc.dynastynet.net) and our channel is (#ebipm). If you aren't familiar with IRC and need help getting started keep reading for detailed guides for the PC and Mac!

PC Users - First, you need to download mIRC

  • Once you've downloaded mIRC, install and launch the program
  • Upon launching the program, a box will pop up that you'll need to enter some info into
  • Enter your full name (we don't care if you fake it) and an email address (likewise)
  • Choose a Nickname and an alternative nickname
  • Now select okay
  • Now you should see a box where you can type text, in this box type "/server irc.dynastynet.net" minus the quotation marks but with the frontslash once it connects to the server, type in "/j #ebipm"

Mac Users - First download Colloquy

  • Install and run the program
  • Once in the program, click "New" on the connections window. Enter a nickname of your choice and for the chat server type "irc.dynastynet.net". Click the connect button.
  • Once you are connected, click "Join Room". Type "#ebipm" and then click Join and you are in.

There! You should be in the channel! Hopefully there will be someone online to welcome you and possibly help you register your nickname on the server.

There that should take care of you, hopefully by this point you're in #ebipm chatting away with all of our community.
